Jenise Justice Brown is the author of DownLow Sister OnTop: Celebrating the African American Bisexual Woman,  Ask the Bisexual, as well as collections of personal essays. She also coauthored 40 Faces in 40 Years for the Virginia Poverty Law Center. And, she has produced  for radio and television. Previews of her work can be found here.

 

Since 2006, her writing has manifested in various spaces. Under her first company, See What I See (S.W.I.S) Productions, Jenise wrote and produced two short films, a screenplay, a pilot for a TV show and two stage plays. Her current book project is a compilation of lived and witnessed experiences in the laws of owning your power called  World Domination 101. It's the second book in the Down Low Series.

Jenise transitioned into a social media influencer with the launch of her  podcast The Jenise Justice Experience can be heard here. The show features episodes of  her favorite conversations with masters in their field called JustSessions, highlights from her DailyJustice observations and questions from the #askJeniseJustice Show. Her talents as a writer invariably created the pathway for intersection of human expression across many platforms, genres and mediums. Her vocal talents and acting training rounds out her commanding presence on and off stage.  As one of the original cast members and subsequent residency with  Love Locked Theater Project , Jenise continues to use storytelling to raise awareness of the perils of injustice and facilitate healing associated with individual and collective traumatic experiences.

 

The BI OUT THE BOX tour launching her Down Low Series began November 2015, and the second, BI OUT THE BOX II: Assume The Position  is expected summer 2022.
